1 equals 1

Does 1=1?
Is that a dumb question? Yes, it probably is, unless one 1 is interior and the other is exterior. When does reality meet your expectation? Are you able to ascertain the totality of an object by observing it, then hold that idea and continue to submit it to re-evaluation with each new stimulus? Instead, you might observe just enough information to quickly match it to a model from a catalogue that you carry with you. It's important that you do this, your survival depends on it. If you were to take the time to fully understand the full nuance of each aspect of your surroundings in turn, you might not see the most important ones, the speeding busses of the world. The importance of perspective.
This image is a rather lifeless printout in times new roman of this simple equasion. 1=1. Expectation equals reality. It is submitted to the duplication process of a photocopier in two phases, first copied at 99%, then that copy copied at 99%, then that one again at 99% and so on 347 times until it fades to black (a little dramatic intervention). I altered nothing except the zoom rate, a constant 99%: no cropping, nothing. The frames presented here are numbers 0, 72 and 228.
