Hanna Rose Shell is a filmmaker, video artist and historian of science and media. Based at the Society of Fellows at Harvard as a Junior Fellow, she currently writing a book, and making a film/performance art piece, about camouflage. She received a Ph.D. from Harvard in 2007, an M.A. from Yale in 2002. Her films and installations, produced through Fabrik Films, have shown in museums, theaters and galleries, and at festivals and biennales, in China, France, Italy, England, Germany and Austria, as well as North America. Recent projects include "Locomotion in Water" and "Pepe (Secondhand)" (with collaborator Vanessa Bertozzi, and sound artist Luke Fischbeck). See Hanna's website at www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~shell/
