Dinner with Jose Luis Blondet of Mills Gallery Quick Notes

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •

Dinner with BCA Mills Gallery Jose Luis Blondet was awesome. He had really inspiring intelligent stuff to say. I just quickly re-typed a bunch of my notes—likely to be unintelligible but useful to me nonetheless.

I really like the theatre analogies A LOT. Especially when thinking about dueling scripts, boundaries between fans and players. When I do my field day experiment I will try to come up with some stuff that will address this.

MY NOTES:

Soccer Experiment

4 scripts—what happens when the script comes in conflict with itself?

Group v. Individual player

Visual of just the ball

Paul Pfeiffer—Art 21

There are 4 teams at play—2 soccer teams, 2 sets of soccer fans

2 theatre productions happening against eachother and literally they have 2 different goals/scripts

Magico Rodriguez (Ecuadorean on Real Madrid Team)

Audience as mass, as crowd

Bruce Nauman—Indoor/Outdoor Arrangement

Steven Parino

Gustavo Artigas

Radio Vs. Television depiction of the sport

Lazzaro Candal—Spanish World Cup announcer

Jingles, songs etc people make up for their team

Fans with backs to the game

Ball as choreography

Spain Soccer National Anthem story—look up on elpais.com
