The AIR Program Presents
Date: Thursday September 27th, 2007
Please join us and participate in the beginning stages of Maura Jasper's Weather You Remember project, an online collection of "weather reports" delivered by senior citizens as they recall and comment on weather for the location they most consider "home". Relying on personal experience and memory , participants in this project are asked to consider the cultural, climate, economic and other changes they have witnessed as indicators of present and future "weather" conditions. Using the same"bluescreen" technique employed in standard TV weather reporting, participants are video taped in front of hand drawn maps that reference the experiences and points of interest they are discussing. We are bringing the event to the Godine Family Gallery @ MassArt for the first time. Please follow the signs and enter MassArt through the North Building entrance on Evans Way. What: Yum Local(e) is a participatory potluck for all.The Berwick is looking for volunteers to "be at the table" to help facilitate conversations around what "local food" means to festival goers and passer bys at the Project YUM festival.
